Rob & Joss In The Morning, Froggy 92.9 Today’s Country, today announced that Jake Owen and Old Dominion will join Tim McGraw to headline the annual Country Summer three-day music festival.
Country Summer, Northern California’s biggest annual country music festival and Sonoma County’s biggest party, is June 14-16 at Sonoma County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 1350 Bennett Valley Road.
Owen’s single, “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” hit No. 1 on the country airplay charts last summer and was the fastest rising single of his career. To date, Owen has had seven No. 1 singles, including the double-platinum anthem “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and platinum-certified “Beachin’.”
The artist’s fifth studio album “American Love” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. With a sweet spot for all-American nostalgia, Owen is well-known for his phenomenal high-energy performances and laid-back style.
Old Dominion, named the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Vocal Group of the Year in 2018, has emerged as one of the hottest breaking bands in country music, blending old-fashioned country charm, lyrical wit and rock n’ roll grit.
After releasing “Happy Endings,” the band’s highly anticipated sophomore album debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and No. 7 on the Top 200, Old Dominion scored its sixth No. 1 single with “Hotel Key.” Old Dominion’s current single, “Make It Sweet,” is one of the band’s fastest-rising singles to date. A new song, “One Man Band,” will drop tomorrow (January 18.)
McGraw, who was previously announced as a Country Summer headliner, has sold more than 50 million records and dominated the charts with 43 worldwide No. 1 singles. He’s won three Grammy Awards, 16 ACM Awards, 14 CMA Awards, 11 American Music Awards, three People’s Choice Awards and numerous other honors.
Celebrating its sixth year anniversary in 2019, Country Summer has evolved into a colossal three-day destination country music event, featuring a total of 20 performers on the Chevy Silverado Stage and the Redwood Credit Union Stage, showcasing up-and-coming bands between main acts.
While country music artists are the main attraction, great festivals are more than great music. With shopping, experiential activities, a variety of culinary delights and an array of libations – from Bud Light for beer drinkers, to wine and spirits at the Kendall-Jackson Wine Garden and
Jack Daniel’s Saloon — Country Summer has amassed a loyal fan base, locally and from across the country. In 2018, it attracted more than 30,000 fans from 38 states.
Three-Day Passes, starting from $219 for all three days, are on sale now. Purchase tickets online, visit the fairgrounds box office or call 800-514-3849 to order by phone.
Event sponsors include the Bay Area Chevrolet Dealers, Redwood Credit Union, Bud Light, Friedman’s Home Improvement, United Airlines, Les Schwab Tire Centers, Kendall-Jackson, River Rock Casino, Jack Daniel’s, Montgomery Village, Cattlemens Steakhouse, Harris Ranch, Creams and Froggy 92.9.
