On June 13, 2014, Dan + Shay was the first act to ever take the Country Summer stage. Since then, there have been 51 more performers on the main stage, from chart-topping, prestigious award winners to young, up-and-coming talents making a name for themselves on the country music scene.
Who can forget Old Dominion, who in 2016 was a newcomer, emerging as one of the hottest breaking bands in the country? Just before the band’s Country Summer show, Old Dominion won the Academy of Country Music New Group of the Year.
In its first year, Country Summer was a success attracting 17,000 fans. Last year, the three-day event attracted 30,000 concert-goers from 34 states and four countries. Over the years, Country Summer has become a destination country music celebration earning national recognition as one of the country’s best festivals. Locally, it has been voted Press Democrat’s Best Music Festival for two consecutive years.
It’s only fitting that Florida Georgia Line is a headliner at Country Summer’s fifth annual event. Back in 2013, Alan Jacoby, executive producer of Impact Entertainment, and Lawrence Amaturo, owner of Froggy 92.9 and other radio stations serving the Santa Rosa area, teamed up to produce the Florida Georgia Line concert at the Sonoma County Fair.
It was the fair’s first-ever sold out concert, which gave them an idea for a new country music spectacular. Their idea became Country Summer.

Country Summer’s fifth annual event is a milestone in the event’s evolution. Expect it to be blockbuster!
